Post Production

Two Edit Suites
A Cut Above has two PC based postproduction systems running Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere Pro. An audio booth and production studio are available for voice-over and studio recording. A variety of digital video resources are used including After Effects, Photoshop, Audition and numerous other programs.

Color Correction & Color Grading
Our newest video postproduction system includes a color calibrated 55” OLED video monitor for accurate color correction and color grading.

5.1 Audio Editing
The newest upgrade to our postproduction system is the ability to accurately monitor 5.1 audio, which allows us to edit 5.1 audio for movies and other applications.

Digitize Video from Videotape
Digital Betacam, DVCPRO HD, DVCPRO, DVCAM, Betacam SP, 1” Type C and ¾” SP Umatic videotape decks are available to capture these legacy tape formats for digital archive, restoration, and remastering.

Post Production edit station with a color calibrated 55" OLED monitor for color grading.



Field Production

A Cut Above offers a full range of services including Director, Producer, Videographer(s), Production Crew, & Field Video Production Equipment.

Electronic Field Production (EFP) or Electronic News Gathering (ENG)
Videography is accomplished with a variety of TV production equipment including a 4K video camera or large format 5.7K cinema style camera. Recording options include the camera's on board recording media or outboard digital recorder. Lens options include a standard zoom lens and a set of cinema primes for large format recording.

Field/Location Production Lighting
Lighting options include daylight balanced HMIs, Soft-lights (quartz and LED), Fresnels, various ellipsoids and open face.

Audio Production
Options include a variety of mono or stereo shotgun, handheld, lavaliere and Lectrosonics UHF wireless microphones.





With extensive in-house lighting, grip and field audio resources A Cut Above Video supports productions including ENG style interviews, TV commercial productions, Videography in large facilities, seminar and workshop recording to full EFP or cinema style productions.

Studio Production

Melbourne Florida Studio
The 14' wide x 25' deep studio space is configured with a 13' high lighting grid with full set of scoops, Fresnels, and ellipsoids with an 8 channel dimmer system. A 14' wide by 11' high chroma key green back wall, side walls, and floor for full head to toe chroma key capability, camera, shotgun microphone on a boom, and production support equipment are all in place.

4K Camera Options
TV studio production configurations include either a 4K ENG style camera or large format 5.7K cinema style camera, which are also available for field production.

Teleprompter Options
An in-house 17” TelePrompTer may also be configured for studio or field use. For those with poor eyesight a custom built 32” studio TelePrompTer is available.

Audio Booth
Audio recording is accomplished in our audio room interfaced with the video editing system and has sufficient space for interviews with multiple people. A phone patch is available for remote monitoring and direction as well as phone recording.
